Local Provider Identification
ACM has developed a worldwide network of Certified Independent Medical Examiners (CIME) that can provide Independent Medical Exams in dozens of countries worldwide. In those areas where an CIME is not available, ACM leverages ACM’s International Provider AccessSM (IPA) network and has identified specific international providers who can perform specialized medical examinations and assessment allowing one of ACM’s CIMEs to a determine:
- Impairment Rating (IR); Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI); and
- Return to Work (RTW) date; all compliant with the 6th Edition AMA Guidelines (5th edition also available if requested) and recognized by the U.S, Department of Labor.
Universal Independent Medical Assessment Form
In those areas where a CIME is not available, ACM will provide a proprietary, condition-specific Independent Medical Assessment Form. This form allows for a non-CIME physician to perform a complete independent medical exam supplying the information required for ACM’s CIME to determine an:
- Impairment Rating (IR);
- Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI);
- Return to Work (RTW) dates.
All of these determination are compliant with the 6th Edition AMA Guidelines (5th edition also available if requested) and recognized by the U.S. Department of Labor.
