When people ask me what ACM does, I say we build bridges. Not with cement and steel, but with people and services. We build bridges between providers and patients, between insureds and their health plans, and between health care needs and health care services. These bridges serve various needs, from providing a path to navigate the health care system through case management for someone with a serious illness, to providing a roadmap for improved health through our Disease Management program. Instead of crane operators and architects, our bridges are built with nurses, doctors, and other health care professionals.
As with any physical bridge, safety and quality are cornerstones of our bridges as well. We challenge ourselves to follow high standards of service, quality and safety and demonstrate those every day. Our URAC accreditation in Health Utilization Management is also evidence of our commitment to high standards.
